Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Ezekiel 36:26 “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” In our high school chapel this morning I preached from John 3 where Jesus tells Nicodemus that he must be born again. As a cross reference I read this text in Ezekiel where God promises exiled Israel that He will gather them back to their land and give them a new heart. Nicodemus did not understand the concept of a spiritual birth – being born again. He focused on the physical. Jesus taught Nicodemus that he could be born again if he believed in the Son of God. I was challenged agin by the miracle of the new birth. I rejoice in this great work of God available to those who believe.
Pray for the family of Steve Beverly. He passed away this weekend after a long fight with complications from Covid. Continue to pray for Mollie H and Wenda L as they recover from Covid. Also continue to pray for Ron H. He is still struggling with chest pains. He is being referred to pulmonology.
My sister and niece are flying to Scotland today. They have many hoops to go through because of Covid restrictions. Pray for safety and patience.
We had a great weekend with Missionary Wagners. Because they were camping in that back of the church, we enjoyed three different meals with them. I am very excited about the impact this good family will have upon multiple language groups when they get to their field. They left a thank you note that I put on the entry bulletin board. I believe they were blessed by our church even as they were a blessing to us.

On a personal note, I am selling tickets for the Kiwanis Pork Fest. It is held at Ave 795 (Knights of Columbus) on Thursday, September 23 from 4:30p to 7:30p. You may eat in (limited), drive through, or carry-out. Tickets are $18 each. This is a great meal and benefits organizations that help children in Fond du Lac. Let me know and I will put tickets in your box at church or mail them to you. Make checks to Kiwanis and give them to me.
