Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, 2 Samuel 7:18 “Then King David went in and sat before the Lord; and he said: “Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far?” This morning in elementary chapel, I talked about David’s desire to worship God and God’s subsequent covenant with David. I emphasized that God would not break His covenant with them concerning their salvation. I did not talk about this verse with the children, but when I think of God’s promises to me my heart responds like David. Who I am, God, that you have done so many good things for me and my house?
The Leeds (times 2) and Shaeffers safely drove to Hudson, WI and back, though not without at least one very close call. The preaching was good and the fellowship was wonderful. It was a profitable two days. Our next time to be with the WFBC family is at Pastors’ and Wives’ Retreat in Antigo in February.
Tomorrow from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. TBS has the opportunity to serve tables at the Kiwanis Pork Fest. Our school is given a donation for helping with this Kiwanis fundraiser. Pray for a good evening of service. If you would care to join us, let me know. We’d love an extra hand!
Teens have a Cookout and Games at Lakeside Park this Saturday at 5:30 p.m. They are being joined by a group from Faith Baptist in Plymouth. There should be over 30 Christian teens gathered. There is no cost. If you have any questions, contact Pastor Charlie.
This Sunday is Church Dinner Day! I think I am going to grab some of my squash from the garden to bring. After lunch I’ll pick up my historical books walk at 1 Kings 11. I want to thank Darryl M for filling in for us on Sunday night.
Pray for one another. Mollie H is still on oxygen at home. Kathy will have week 2 of this round of chemo tomorrow. Pray for her strength this weekend. Karrie M is recovering from knee replacement. I saw Darryl had his sling back on this past Sunday. Kayla S is still doctoring.
Pray for our church to be a place where God’s presence is evidenced. Pray for us to be like Jesus. Pray for the Word of God to be clear and received with joy. Pray for those who ought to be with us to come and join our fellowship. Thank God for His protection and goodness.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
