Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 96:1-3 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. 3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
We read Psalm 96 at breakfast this morning. I think the “new” song speaks of one that is fresh in my heart, not necessarily one that was composed recently. I’ll quickly admit that I don’t always feel like bursting out in song! Oh, may I obediently proclaim the salvation of my God every day to everyone.
The pastoral staff has safely returned from a profitable meeting. We were at the annual meeting of our church fellowship – the Wisconsin Fellowship of Baptist Churches held at Greendale Baptist Church. I believe there were over 150 registered attendees. We had 5 sessions, a sing/testimony time, and 2 business meetings. The best part of these meetings is the fellowship we have with pastors and churches from around the state of Wisconsin.
Tonight is Awana. A Bible study in the psalms is available for those teens and adults not serving in Awana. It meets at the parsonage at 6:45 p.m. and is done before 8:00 p.m.
Pray for Tom and Marie. Marie’s sister in law, Betty, passed away last week. Her funeral is in Stillwater, MN on Saturday. Pray for safety and wisdom as Tom and Marie travel and spend time with Marie’s family.
On a personal note, as a member of Morning Kiwanis, I invite you to a great dinner tomorrow, Thursday, September 22nd. Pork Fest is served at Avenue 795 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $20. The proceeds of this dinner help children in a variety of ways who live in the Fond du Lac area. If you are interested, see me for tickets! There is eat in, drive through, or carry out options available. Trinity Baptist School will again be serving as a fund raiser for our school.
Faith Baptist in Plymouth has invited us to join them for a Community Hymn Sing on Saturday, September 24 at 6:00 p.m. It will be held at the Band Shell at Plymouth City Park. Bring a lawn chair and come for a fun evening.
Sunday is Church Dinner Day!
