Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 106:1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. One short verse, but this is packed with good thinking. We must be grateful. God is good. God’s kindness to us is unending. Rejoice! I pray you are rejoicing in the goodness of our God today.
I received a text from our missionary Tim S. His sister-in-law in Ukraine reported yesterday that bombs and drone attacks from Russia were once again pounding their neighborhood. Pray for good churches in Ukraine to thrive at this time. Pray that Christian in Ukraine and Russia use these opportunities for the glory of Jesus Christ.
We are in the middle of another busy week at Trinity Baptist. This is week 7 of our school year. There are 2 soccer matches and a tournament. I had a great time of fellowship and edification with 7 other pastors on Monday afternoon as we discussed Doug MacLachlan’s book. We have Awana and Bible study tonight.
Sunday evening, October 9th, is going to be special. The Maranatha Baptist University Chamber Strings will have our evening service. Come for a refreshing evening of great music. We will take an offering for the college at that service.
Pray for those who are hurting. Continue to pray for strength for Jean W and Patsy E. Mary F has cellulitis and is on antibiotics. Bill L has moved to St. Francis for therapy and strengthening. Pray for Bonnie F and Janet R as they are in nursing homes. They would both appreciate cards or visitors.
My uncle Dave will have a PET scan next Wednesday. At this time he expects to have surgery to remove his esophagus in November. We had dinner with him last evening. He is gaining strength after his radiation and chemo.
Darryl will finish up the book of Job this coming Sunday School hour. Last week was such a blessing. I will talk about the Millennium on Sunday morning.
Enjoy these pleasant fall days!
