Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 37 begins with “Do not fret because of evildoers.” A few verses later we read “Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way.” Worry is not supposed to be a part of the Christian’s life. Philippians 4:6 begins “Be anxious for nothing.”We can worry about Covid. We can worry about inflation. We can worry about cancer. We can worry about our children and grandchildren. We can worry about politics. But God’s ideal for the Christian is that we not fret, but rather take our concerns to God in prayer. Have you been fretting today?
I see on facebook and hear from a message Pastor Shaeffer received from Lisa K that Sam is out of ICU and is recovering. Continue to pray for his healing from the affects of Covid. Continue to pray that Kathy R might be cancer free. Pray for our church and school to remain healthy!
The young adults Acts 29 Bible Study meets this Friday evening at the Tony Braker home at 7:00 p.m. All young adults who out of high school are welcome to attend. Come for food, fellowship, and thoughts from the Word.
This Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. is Men’s Prayer Breakfast. If you have not signed up, tonight is your opportunity, that or contact me. I’m planning to make waffles. We eat and fellowship and then pray. We are done before 9:30 a.m. Teens are welcome. Boys younger than teens should bring their dads along!
The Lord’s Day is Lord’s Table. We are going to think about walking wisely from Ephesians 5:15-18 in the morning preaching. Charlie will be in 1 Corinthians in adult Sunday School and I will be in 1 Kings 11 during the evening service.
Pray for our families. Pray for parents to be godly and humble. Pray for young people in our homes to be obedient and kind. Pray for the Word of God to be spoken in our homes. May our church be centered around God and His Word.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
