Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,
Psalm 77:4-6 “You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. 5 I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, and my spirit makes diligent search.” What consumes your mind when you cannot sleep? Do you think about the good things God has done for you – your salvation, your life, your opportunities? Do you think about the Word of God and the stories of God’s triumphs?
Missionary Tim tells us about 3 new believers who were arrested because they were gathered to worship. The police found Bibles in the home. It is assumed they are enduring many beatings.
Jon and Colleen are rejoicing that Jon’s bypass surgery went well. They thank you for your prayers. Cathy T is still in a lot of pain. The scan came back clean. Pray for her healing. Pray for strength for Carolyn O. It was good to see her in both services on Sunday.
The ladies’ Mugs and Muffins is going to relocate to the parsonage this Saturday, March 15th. Come for a good time of fellowship at 9:30 a.m.
Rebekah Fruin will be giving us a report on her ministry in Ukraine during the Sunday School hour (8:45 a.m.) this Sunday, March 16th. A friend has accompanied her from Ukraine and will add to her report. We will receive a second offering for her on Sunday. Continue to pray for the persecuted church and the church in war torn parts of the world. Pray for peace in Gaza and Ukraine.
Four of our young people are at a basketball tournament in Missouri. Pray for their safety and that this be a spiritually growing time. This Friday is Jr/Sr High WACS academic competition in Watertown. Pray for our safety and that the young people do well in their performances. The pastors are the drivers and chaperones for this event.
This Lord’s Day, March 16th, I will be in 1 John 4 with a title of “God is Love.” Pastor Shaeffer will be finishing up the book of Nehemiah in the 6:30 p.m. hour. We will have choir practice for adult and children’s choir.
The bidding has begun on biddingowl.com for the TBS Dave Shell Memorial Auction. Concessions include Italian Beef sandwiches, potato soup, veggies, Sopapilla Cheese Cake bars, and drinks. Concessions and the silent auction begin at 5:00 p.m. The live auction begins at 7:00 p.m. Come for a great evening and help raise money for TBS.
Enjoy these warm days. Winter is not over so every warm afternoon is a gift!
Pray for one another.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
