Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 20:1-3 “May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you; 2 May He send you help from the sanctuary, And strengthen you out of Zion; 3 May He remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah” I understand this psalm was sung as the King would leave for battle. May this be our blessing as we go forward to each new day.
The church is decorated for Sailing with Jesus. It looks awesome! I can’t wait for you to see it. Our VBS for 3yr olds through those going into 8th grade begins two weeks from Sunday. Beth tells me she is looking for one more teacher. If you are available July 24th-27th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., please contact Beth. There will be a meeting of all those helping (snacks, games, teachers, crafts, teacher’s aides) this Sunday, July 10th at 5:30 p.m. VBS starts during the Sunday School hour on July 24th. Invite the neighbor’s kids. Bring your grandchildren.
We are leaving on a family vacation this Friday. We are going to a KOA cabin in Rapid City, SD – the Black Hills. Zeke’s family is meeting us there. So Lin and I are hoping for warm afternoons in a pool with 7 grandchildren. On our way back we will attend the Leeds’ family reunion in Cherokee, IA. We will be home on the evening of Sunday, July 17th. Pastor Shaeffer is preaching the next two Sunday mornings.
My Uncle Dave has just learned that he has esophageal cancer. Pray the doctors will decide on a best path of treatment and for strength for Dave. He knows the Lord and is ready to go to heaven, but would rather stay a little longer here with his wife and grandchildren.
Jean is home. She is rejoicing and thankful. Pray for continued strength.
Tim S tells us of a preacher he calls River. River is being watched 24/7 by secret police. Yet, he continues to minister. Two were saved yesterday.
We need a crew to serve with us at the Kohler Picnic on July 29th and 30th. We need help either day or both days. Check out the sign up lists on the MOT (Ministry Opportunity Tables) in the back of the auditorium.
Do you read the Here a Little in the bulletin? Just last week a former member told me how much he wished they did something like that in his new church. It’s a great way to get to know people and do short studies related to the morning preaching series. Check it out.
Pray. God listens and He knows.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
