Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,
Psalm 30:4-5 “Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. 5 For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.” May you praise God today. We have a great hope.
I rejoice in the good attendance and good response to recent ministry. Praise the Lord for His working among us at Trinity Baptist.
Pray for our Missionaries Junior and Abby Taylor. They left Mozambique at Christmas time because of the violence that followed the elections in that country. Junior is flying back to Mozambique today, January 29th. Abby and their two boys will follow next Wednesday, February 5th. Pray for their safety in travel as well as their safety in ministry. While much ministry continued in the local churches in their absence, there will be work to do in reviving ministry. A report letter will be in a bulletin coming soon.
Today is the 100th Day of this school year. (The elementary teachers keep track.) Tomorrow the elementary has a field trip. We added 3 new students to TBS this week – two brothers and a sister. We have a new 4th grader, 6th grader, and 7th grader. Pray for these young people and our staff as mid-year accommodations are made.
Our school is also in the middle of a very busy basketball season. Although we don’t have our own teams, about half of our junior high and high school participate in with other teams. It makes for a very busy life for our students and families. Pray for safety and spiritual strength as this season wears on.
The first Saturday of the month and Men’s Pray Breakfast comes fast this month. If you are not signed up for this Saturday, February 1st and intend to join us at 8:00 a.m. sign up tonight or let me know before I go shopping on Friday.
Sunday is Lord’s Table. I will be in 1 John 2 in the morning and in Hosea 10-11 in the evening. Darryl will continue his survey of Old Testament Theology in adult Sunday School. Our benevolent offering this Sunday will go to the Church Planting fund of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Baptist Churches.
On February 9th, the soccer teams from Maranatha will be ministering in Sunday School and in the morning service.
Souped Up! is next Thursday, February 6th. If you want to be sure of your favorite varieties, place your order by Monday, February 3rd. (I prepared the Italian sausage for 6 roasters of our Italian Tortellini Soup last evening.) You may order through our school’s website, by emailing Beth, or by filling out order forms. The order forms have a QR code that allows you to order from our website. Pray for good weather and good sales.
Rejoice in the Lord and not in your circumstances whether they be good or evil.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
Pastor
