Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: The sun is shining! I hope you are able to enjoy this day the Lord has given us. The cloudy days are from God too, but I find it easier to be thankful for the sunshine!
Are you making plans to join in the fun and fellowship on Saturday? Curt and Sue Carter have invited the church family to their home at 234 McKinley St, NFdL for their annual cider pressing. Bushels of apples will be ground up and squeezed into a delicious nectar. The cider making will begin at noon and continue until about 5p. At 5p there will be a chili dump buffet. If you would like to take a gallon of cider away, bring about 5 lbs of apples. If you would like to join in eating, bring some chili and a dessert or other side to share. Come and go as you will. The festivities end at 7p. This is an activity for the whole family. Bring a lawn chair and be ready for a fun day.
Fellowship opportunities abound this week. Sunday is Church Dinner day! Because of VBS and the picnic, it will be the first time for us to return to church dinner in the basement since June. It’s always fun to see the changing of our buffet with the changing of the seasons. I’m thinking squash this week.
Then, on a personal note: if you are interested in picking up a great pork chop dinner on Thursday before the big game, see me. My Kiwanis Club is hosting its annual Pork Fest at the Knights of Columbus. You can eat in or take this great meal to go. The pork chops are awesome. The tickets are $14. for adults.
So much to do and so little time. Make the most of every minute God affords you.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
