Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 84:1-2 “How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of hosts! 2 My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.” Does my soul and flesh long for God? Or do I long more for food or entertainment or activity or sex or sleep or … ? Where am I facing? To Whom do I look for satisfaction and contentment?
Many prayer requests today. Pat S is having hip-replacement surgery tomorrow, November 1st. Pray that the surgery goes well and there is a fast recovery.
We mentioned on Sunday that the husband of a former TBS teacher had passed away. Pray for Jaclyn C and her daughters.
Kathy R will be traveling to Chicago on Monday, November 6th for the first of 13 radiation treatments focused on the area where her tumor was on her back. Pray for her as she continues to heal from her recent surgery and pray these treatments keep this area cancer free. After she has healed from surgery – about December 1st – she will begin chemo treatments for the tumors in her lungs. Her fight continues! She is praising God that the tumor pain is gone and that God is continuing to carry her through this trial.
Colds are going around. We have one student home from school today. On the other side of that, Charlie tells us that Jack no longer has a fever and has slept through the last two nights!
Did I tell you that we have two new students at TBS?!? We welcome Caden – a 6th grade boy – and Emmy – a 4th grade girl. Pray for these students and our staff as adjustments are made and learning continues.
Tomorrow is a “normal” night of Awana Clubs and Bible study. Come join in the fun.
Young adults should plan to be at Brakers at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening for Acts 29 Bible study. Also, if you have not signed up for Men’s Prayer Breakfast this coming Saturday, November 4th at 8:00 a.m., please let me know of your intention to come.
