Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. We often use this verse during the Christmas season, and rightly so. This morning in our Men’s Bible Study we talked about it in its context of the gospel and law vs promise. Christ came because I could not earn my salvation, not even a part of it. And because my salvation from sin is through Christ, I cannot improve upon it. I’m a son of God by the promise of God. May I rest in this truth always.
Today, the Jr and Sr High of Trinity Baptist School attended the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s performance of a series of music they called “Trills and Chills.” I thoroughly enjoyed the excellence we witnessed. I believe the young people were challenged by the immensity of skill and work that they were allowed to witness. One 16 year-old cellist play an awesome concerto. Her hand flew over the strings. To think that God has so created man to accomplish and enjoy such beauty.
We are looking for some kitchen help at the church on Thursday and Friday of this week from 9a-3p to prep and make pies for our TBS Dutch Apple Pie. We are selling pies for $15 each that will be ready-to-be-baked from the church lot on Friday, October 28th from 12-7p and from 9a-2p on Saturday, October 29th. (We are hoping to sell out early!) If you are able to help on Thursday or Friday of this week, Contact Beth Braker or reply to this email and I’ll get your response to her.
The teens have a hayride and bonfire at the Mohr’s on Saturday, October 28th at 5:00 p.m. If you have questions, contact Pastor Charlie. Bring a friend and come for a good time.
We have a missionary in adult/teen Sunday School on Sunday and it is Church Dinner Day!
Praise God for His kindness to you. Praise God for His great mercy upon our country. Thank God for His Word and His Church. Pray for Christ’s return.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
