Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 28:6-7 “Blessed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplications! 7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.” God hears and we can trust, therefore I will rejoice.
I’ve attached a note from Lola. I smile at the way her spirit shines through the note. I hope you are encouraged and will continue to pray for her.
My numbers were good so yesterday’s chemo proceeded. Praise God. That’s the only one for this week and then one for next week before I return to my “big” week. I napped a lot yesterday. I feel like I’ve been hit with a terrible flu. Here is a funny: they have a person posted at the door of the cancer center to check for COVID. She takes my temp and asks, “How are you feeling? Have you had any changes in your health or sense of taste?” Yesterday, I kindly looked at her and said, “I was here 5 days last week.” She apologized. I told her she didn’t need to, she is doing her job. Pray that I be Christlike. Was Jesus ever sick? I know He got tired and hungry, so I think He got sick. If He was, how did He respond?
We are going to put the early Tuesday morning Bible study, Men for Christ, on hold until further notice, likely after the first of the year. I am sad to do this because I have enjoyed the fellowship. In time, we will bring it back.
We have a potential new family visiting our school today. Pray for God’s leading. Principal Shaeffer is our chapel speaker tomorrow morning.
Have you voted? Please take time to do so. It is a godly and good thing to do.
