Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, My devotions took me to Job 1 this week and a cross-reference in the Bible I was reading took me to Psalm 89:5-7 And the heavens will praise Your wonders, O Lord; Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints. 6 For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the Lord? 7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those around Him. This jives with what we looked at on Sunday morning. David believed God is being praised by those around Him in heaven. He believed those in heaven choose to revere Him. I hope you are imploring heaven this week. Beg of God that He might send His angels to do what you cannot do.
We had a good Men’s Bible study this morning from 1 Corinthians 7. We will be taking a second look at Jehoshaphat this Wednesday evening from 2 Chronicles 20. Bring the family and join us for our Bibles studies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays this summer.
Pray for our country. My uncle took some time at our picnic yesterday to remind us of the gift we have as Americans. Pray for our leaders and pray for our military. And pray that Russia be defeated!
Are all the elections confusing to you? We are already seeing many ads for the primary coming up on August 9th. Both Republican and Democratic parties will be choosing their candidates for the November election in the August 9th primary.
In Fond du Lac County we have a special election this coming Tuesday, June 7th. Our long time County Executive passed away this winter creating a need for this election. Only one candidate is on the ballot: our former church member Sam Kaufman. I would encourage all residents of Fond du Lac County to go to the polls next Tuesday and vote for Sam. There is a Write In opportunity on the ballot. There are some who would like to see Sam lose this election who may be working to coordinate a Write In movement.
I don’t believe there was a sign up out for this week’s Men’s Prayer Breakfast. This Saturday is the first of the month. I will have breakfast ready at 8:00 a.m. if there are those who tell me they will be here! If you plan on attending, please let me know by Friday noon.
A new ladies’ Bible study kicks off on Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Shaeffer farm. It will be a walk through the book of James. Handouts for this study were printed and are available on the MOT in the auditorium. If you have questions, talk to Amber or Beth.
Be a blessing to someone. Bless as God in Jesus’ Name has blessed you.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
