Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: I hope you had a sweet Mother’s Day. I missed being at Trinity Baptist on Sunday morning. Lin and I took a vacation weekend. On Sunday we were in a Baptist church where sweet teens sang a tribute to Moms. With the recent home going of LeAnn on our hearts, their song hit a soft spot. I hear there were many Moms and families at Trinity Baptist to worship together. I pray your hearts were encouraged by God’s Word.
Tomorrow night begins our summer Wednesday evening Bible studies. Carolyn Olson is teaching children from 3yrs to those going into 5th grade. Charlie Leeds will teach those going into 6th grade through high school. I am teaching the adults in the auditorium. We will be continuing the series of lessons we have begun in adult Sunday School the past two Sundays. He Will Reign Forever is a biblical theology of The Kingdom of God. If you cannot attend both Sunday School and Wednesday nights, I think you will still find this study both practical and timely in your understanding of the Scriptures.
REMEMBER: WEDNESDAY STUDIES BEGIN AT 7:00P AND NOT 6:30P!
The adults are going mini-golfing and then to Kelly’s for ice cream this Saturday, May 18th at 6:00p. Get a sitter for the kids and join us for some fun competition at Fondy Sports Complex.
Sunday is going to be a great day! In the morning service we are going to honor the memory of Dick Winkler and his love for Trinity Baptist. Sunday night is Sing N Smores! We will be singing songs from the old blue hymnbooks in the back yard of the parsonage. Come for the fun and fellowship! S’more fixin’s will be provided.
Sunday morning I am in the text where the King called his servants before him to have them give an account of their debts. He forgave them. In the King’s forgiveness, we learn much about ourselves.
Pray for one another. Pray for the missionary Boisvert family in their grief and busy teaching ministry. Pray for Tom as he makes adjustments to his new life. Pray for Mark Shaeffer and his family. Pray for our country. Pray for me – that my eyes may be focused on my Savior and that I might have understanding of God’s Word.
