Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Proverbs 11:13 “A talebearer reveals secrets, but he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter.” Are you quick to tell a story? Do you often tell more than most people want to hear? This is me. I find the second half of this proverbs to be convicting. Perhaps rather than “faithful spirit” we would say “trustworthy.” This is someone you want to have as a friend. If I am going to be a trustworthy friend, I am not going to tell all I know about a person. We all sin. We all have made mistakes. We all do foolish things. A faithful spirit is someone who keeps to themself the mistakes and foolish choices of friends. No one wants a friend or spouse who gets their jollies telling everyone about our shortcomings. Be a trustworthy friend and keep the story to yourself!
Once again, we want to thank the church and the many who gave to Lin and me. We had a refreshing time in the Dells. We laughed, cried, and were encouraged by the music and testimonies we heard. We talked with fellow believers and made connections with people from all over the Midwest. It was a profitable 3 days for us. Thank you.
Kathy R saw her oncologist today. She has a lung biopsy scheduled. If that comes back clean, her cancer is Stage 1. If it is cancer, she would be Stage 4. This is a rare cancer. Keep praying that God will give the doctors and Kathy the right answers and the best path forward. Pray for healing. Continue to pray for Darryl M as he recovers from shoulder replacement surgery.
