Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Would you please take a minute to pray with me? Pray for our country. Pray for God’s wisdom to weigh heavily on the minds of our elected officials – that they might be directed by Godly thoughts. Pray for the primary elections today – that God direct the voters providentially. Pray that God might preserve our liberty.
Pray for those impacted by the coronavirus whether directly or indirectly. I was reminded by a letter from Missionary Jean Tsen that we ought to be praying for the story of the gospel to be told at this time. Pray for China and Hong Kong, South Korea, Iran, Italy, and other countries who are hurting more than us. Pray for safety of medical professionals around the world. Pray for wisdom for Vice President Pence and others who have been charged to find solutions.
Pray for God’s will for our church. I announced on Sunday that I’d like to add a part-time pastor, part-time teacher to our staff. I’m asking that the church might call Charlie Leeds to youth ministry and to help with facility’s management. This is a financial step up. Pray for increased giving. Pray for wisdom in budgeting. Mostly, pray that God be glorified as He would lead us in this.
Pray for those who are hurting or confused. Pray for those who are shut-in, unable to be regular in being with us in worship. Pray for our witness in this community.
Pray for the preaching of God’s Word throughout our church ministry this week. Pastor Shaeffer preaches in TBS chapel tomorrow. Then Jeremy, Lin, Van, and many Awana leaders will be sharing God’s Word tomorrow evening. Pray that God’s Word would be rightly taught and that we’d be obedient. Pray that our Congregation might walk in Christ Jesus. Pray that souls might trust in Jesus.
Pray for yourself – that you might forgive and love and praise as you have been called.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
