Dear Trinity Baptist School Family, Proverbs 23:9 “Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.” This is one of my favorite principles that I find in the Proverbs. It is found in more than one place. Here it is: “Don’t bother trying to teach a fool.” Why, because he won’t listen? It’s worse than that. He will hate you. You may have the best of intentions, but wise people don’t waste their words on fools. Fools refuse to be corrected. Fools are often angry so they cannot listen. Fools are arrogant and think they already know the answer even as they wallow in their own errors. Save your breath. Don’t bother counseling someone who will not listen to wisdom.
If you were not in church Sunday to hear our rejoicing, I’ll let you know the results of the school auction. With added gifts, our auction’s income is over $9,500! Although that is down from a couple of our highest years, it is up from last year and much better than we anticipated. O we of little faith. Thank you for your prayers and praise the Lord with us!
Pray for Dan G and Dave R as they continue to be impacted by covid. They have struggled with ongoing symptoms – different ones – both attributed to their covid infection. I praise the Lord that the numbers have continued to drop in Fond du Lac county and that God has blessed our church in many ways during this past strange year. I pray that God continues to have His hand on us as we attempt to minister as wisely and purposefully as we can.
Carolyn O’s dad is failing. They have been told that he would not live long for quite a while, but now he is greatly weakening. Pray for David and Carolyn as they minister to her family, many of which have not received Christ as Savior.
Pray for our school’s students and staff. Next week is spring break and I think everyone wishes it began yesterday! Pray for patience and holy actions these next 3 school days.
Sunday is Church Dinner Day. April 4th is Easter. On Easter we will have our 3 regular services, but instead of our usual Sunday School classes we will have an 8:45 a.m. Passion Service with Lord’s Table.
