Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, At 4:42 a.m. I received this text from Missionary Tim, “They are being bombed again. Luda’s sister called. The bombs rattled the shelves in their cellar. Kids are panicked.” And again at 1:13 p.m. “Luda’s sister and family are singing praises to God right now in their root cellar while bombs fall around them.” I cannot imagine the fear and uncertainty these Ukrainian Christians are experiencing.
This morning at breakfast we read Psalm 31. Perhaps you want to go read it. Here is the beginning and end: Psalm 31:1-4, 23-24 In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness. 2 Bow down Your ear to me, Deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge, A fortress of defense to save me. 3 For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me. 4 Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, For You are my strength. … 23 Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person. 24 Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord.
Where is our hope? Who is our strength? The Lord Jesus is our rock and fortress. When cancer comes, when bills pile up, when families tug apart, and when bombs fall around us may we, His saints, love the Lord.
I rejoice in our great Lord’s Day. My heat was squeezed by the testimony of Tim and those for whom he spoke. I rejoice to tell you that we received an offering for our missionary of $1,228! Plainly it is the heart of TBC to encourage Tim to keep on doing what he is doing for the glory of God!
Awana store is this week and Awana games practice is Thursday evening.
For those who sign up for Men’s Prayer breakfast, I will have breakfast sandwiches and juice at Suzanne’s on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. I believe this move is only going to take a couple of hours. Contact me if you have any questions.
Young adults – all those out of high school – are encouraged to be at the Tony B’s at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4th for Bible study and fellowship.
Pastor Shaeffer is our preacher this Sunday morning. After our school choir sings here at Trinity Baptist, I am taking them to Faith Baptist, Plymouth to sing. Pray for this to be a great blessing to the young people and those who hear them. We have choir practice on Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m and I am preaching in our 6:30 p.m. service.
Pray for the Christians in Russia and Ukraine. Pray for those who would minister to the 500,000 Ukrainian refugees who have gone into surrounding countries. Pray for evil to be confused and defeated. Pray for wisdom and truth for our country. Pray for missionary Tim’s family.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
