Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,
Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” God is my refuge and my fortress. These terms assume there is an attack. We don’t need a fortress unless we have an enemy who is attacking. On this day, God is my defense.
Please pray for a miracle in the life of Kathy R. The hole in her lung is not healing. More surgery might be needed. She is currently at Aurora in Oshkosh. Your prayers and love are greatly coveted.
I thank those of you who prayed for my ministry yesterday at Marlin’s funeral. I believe the gospel was presented and that some were challenged and many were encouraged. I believe the family was comforted and blessed.
This Friday, December 15th, there is a Christmas Party for adults at the Parsonage next to the church parking lot. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. Bring a dish to share with something fun to eat – savory or sweet. There will be games and lots of conversation. Come when you can and leave when you must.
The adult choir is practicing Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. Beth M and our choir will present a package of Christmas music during the 10:00 a.m. morning service on December 17th. Invite a friend and plan on a blessing.
The winter darkness is upon us. Daylight is less than 9 hours for the next few weeks. Sniffles and coughs are common sounds as people gather. Schedules are crammed by sports, Christmas activities, and the many demands of the season. I remind myself that I only have one day to live and that is today. I only have one job to do and that’s the one before me. I remind myself often that Light and rest are in the hands of my Creator God. Even so, come Lord Jesus.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
