Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Ephesians 2:4-5 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).” Sunday morning my text is Ephesians 2:1-10. Verse 5 should be arresting to all of us – “even when we were dead.” Without God’s rich mercy, we are without hope. We all – Paul included – were spiritually dead. “But God”: perhaps the greatest two words in all the Bible – “But God.” Know today that, whatever your problem, it does not go beyond the mercy of God. And whatever your concern, know the effect of “But God.”
Kathy and Dave report that Kathy’s surgery went well. Thanks to better pain meds and after surgery therapy, she feels she is much further ahead of where she was last surgery at this time. Pray for quick healing from the surgery. Pray for wisdom as they consult the doctors about what is next.
Mollie H is at Agnesian recovering from pneumonia that is the result of having covid. She is doing much better. Continue to pray for her healing. She hopes to come home soon.
This Wednesday is the last of our summer Bible study schedule. All Awana leaders will be having a meeting at the same time, including those in 9th – 12th grades who are part of the Journey Club. Next week we begin our Awana schedule. Awana Clubs begin with a flag ceremony at 6:30 p.m. If you need to purchase books or uniforms, you might want to come early the first week! Awana ends at 8:00 p.m. The adult bible study meets at the parsonage from 6:45 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Van will be leading this study in a walk through John’s epistles.
Sunday is Church Picnic Day. We will have lunch and games at the Shaeffers at N6154 Grandview Road at 12:30 p.m. There will be hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, brats, and dogs. Please consider a donation to help with the costs of these. Also bring lawn chairs and a dish to share: desserts, salads, etc. There will be some tables and chairs. It is supposed to be a warm day. I believe a slip n’ slide will be set up so some may want to bring a change of clothes. Check out the attached policy to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all.
Pastor Shaeffer reports that yesterday might have been the best first day of TBS ever! Adding new families definitely brings added energy and interest to our classrooms. Pray that souls be saved and families strengthened because of this ministry.

The Outreach Committee and Men’s Meeting have determined to send our missionary Rebekah Fruin $200 for her outfit and passage fund. We also received a $200 gift for this on the Lord’s Day. She was at $8,500 of her needed $11,000. Praise the lord that we get to be part of this. Pray she gets to Ukraine soon.
Pray for our country. Pray for Christians in Afghanistan. Pray for our missionaries.
