Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 143:1-2 Hear my prayer, O Lord, Give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness answer me, and in Your righteousness. 2 Do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For in Your sight no one living is righteous. David asks for God to hear his prayer based upon God’s faithfulness and God’s righteousness. I am so glad my prayers are not answered based upon my faithfulness or my righteousness! I’d get zip, nadda! Instead I pray, “O God, do a wonderful thing because You are wonderful.”
Continue to intercede before God for Lola. She was to have another cleaning surgery today. Healing is happening. A bunch of fun stuff went today from our church to Lola’s room. She will be occupied just looking through it all. Bethany is staying with the Leeds and Russell is with the Tony Brakers. Paul and Amy are taking turns sleeping at home.
I saw an oncologist today. Although it is assumed that the spot in my lymph node is a return of my seminoma, they would like a PET scan and a biopsy to confirm this. So I will be testing over the next couple of weeks. If the assumption is correct, there will likely be 3 rounds of 3 chemo drugs in my near future. Pray for wisdom. Pray for strength and encouragement for Lin. Pray that I respond rightly to the frustrations of dealing with sickness and medical professionals.
Men’s Prayer breakfast is this Saturday at 8:00 a.m. If you intend to come for this hour of food, fellowship, and prayer please let me know if you are not already signed up. I need to know how many breakfast sandwiches to make!
Our 2nd offering this Sunday after Lord’s Table is going to be for the ministry of Randy and Jan Martin. We took an offering a year ago as they just got started. COVID has slowed down their support. Randy and Jan are living in Orlando and have already been transferred to new ministries. Randy is in charge of a fund raising arm of Family Life. Jan is working with Randy.
Love one another. This is a command. It is a command that supersedes COVID restrictions and election year differences. Love is the greatest command and the loftiest of the spiritual graces. Prayer is a conduit for love. So are encouraging words whether written or spoken. Love. Time is short. Love. Love.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
