Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.
Once again I rejoice in the good Lord’s Day we had this past Sunday. We had several visitors – some here for the holiday weekend, some investigating for a church home. Pray for our Church – that God be glorified in what we attempt to do by His grace.
Saturday, June 1st, is Men’s Prayer Breakfast and Church Work Day. Both begin at 8:00 a.m. We will have some breakfast goodies ready at 8:00 a.m. but we will immediately go to our time of prayer. Many work day projects are listed on the Ministry Opportunity Table in the back of the auditorium. I will try to have some equipment ready, but it would help if you brought your own favorite ladder or cleaning tools. Come as a family. Let us join together to care for this place we have assigned as our home for worship and ministry.
Pastor Shaeffer is going to have surgery this coming Tuesday. They are removing melanoma. Pray for the surgeon to be skilled and for a proper diagnosis of what made need to happen in the future.
There are prayer lists on the MOT leftover from Wednesday evening.
This coming Lord’s Day, Curt will be talking about God’s mercy during the Sunday School hour. I will be preaching from Hebrews 12:1-3 in the morning service. We are going to have Sing N S’mores with the old hymnbooks at 6:30 p.m. in the parsonage backyard. Bring S’more supplies or some other goodie to share. I’ll have a cooler of water. Our Worship Committee will meet this Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
On the subject of Worship Committee, I rejoice in the good work of many. I thank God for Devin and his work with our choir. I was again blessed Sunday. (I really liked the “bum, bum, bum” parts.) And Amber’s offertory was outstanding! Beth’s special was great ministry. I am thankful for for those God has equipped to encourage us in our faith with music.
May you enjoy the goodness of our God. Praise Jesus often.
