Thursday, March 19, 2020 Fear#4
Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: Psalm 56:10-11 In God (I will praise His word), In the Lord (I will praise His word), 11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? The trust of the psalmist upon God and His Word made any human actions insignificant. During these days of “social distancing” I encourage you to dedicate some time and effort to put your trust in God. Trust in God is a fear eraser.
In some ways today is Day 1. Last night was the first night of no Awana and no Bible study. Although I was excited to learn that there was a Mr. Dale Cubby broadcast.
And today is the first day of Trinity Baptist School using distance tutoring for our classes. Our teaching staff has spent many hours preparing to teach from this building to students who are in their homes. Tools and curriculum have been rearranged and enhanced to make this happen. Happily, the families and students of Trinity Baptist School are on board to finish this school year in the best possible manner.
And today is the first day of Spring! Woohoo! OK, so its cloudy and there may be snow on the ground in the morning. But we have over 12 hours of daylight. I am hoping the coming sunshine will aid our nation in containing this winter’s diseases.
Pray for the leadership of our church. We are meeting with the Ministry Committee on Saturday morning. As we talk about the future of our church, we will be thinking about how we best be the church – the body of Jesus – in our current environment.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
