Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: I will admit it. I have begun praying for moderating temperatures and an end to this cycle of snow and ice. I know. It’s selfish and immature and I ought to let God mature me by teaching me endurance and patience, but I am ready for sunshine, tulips, and green grass.
I praise the Lord for the good Lord’s Day in spite of the ice and wind on Sunday. A good number safely arrived – including our speaking guests from Columbus. Paul Sharf reminded us in Sunday School of the place Israel has in God’s prophetic plans. Church dinner was a very tasty pasta and salad day. It is always amusing to me to see how many of us are thinking alike as we prepare for church dinner.
Saturday is Men’s Prayer breakfast. A big group has signed up. If you’d like to add your name, let me know ASAP so I can be prepared.
Saturday is also Awana Games Day. Check with Tony Braker if you have any questions.
Sunday is Lord’s Table. In the morning preaching, I want to teach us concerning the relationship of Church and Government. If you have not reviewed Romans 13 using the “Here a Little” found in last week’s bulletin, perhaps you’d like to read it over before Sunday.
Pray for our missionaries: Bergens, Smiths, Lubuguins, Troesters, Peaces, Kallal, Price, Vawter, Appling, Oetman, Boisvert, and Coolbaugh. Rejoice with the Regan Martins – their visas are in. They will be making plans to fly to SA by the end of March.
A kindergarten boy prayed to receive Jesus as his Savior last night in Awana. Praise the Lord with us!
Pray for those who are hurting physically or mentally. Pray for marriages and families. The devil is mad and working hard!
Embracing Truth, Pastor
