Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 149:1,4 Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints. … 4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.
This coming Lord’s Day, I will be in Mark 10:13-16 – “Let the Little Children Come.” On Sunday evening Pastor Shaeffer will continue his walk through Ezra/Nehemiah. The New Members class will meet again in Sunday School. For the rest of the adults, I will be in Jeremiah 38 in Sunday School. Weston S is getting baptized on Sunday morning!
TBS begins a new year on Monday. Pastor Shaeffer talked to us about “Renew” this morning. I was reminded of my tendency to stagnate and the importance of staying in God’s Word that I might be renewed.
Kathy R had an MRI this morning and the preliminary news is not good. She has a mass in muscle alongside her lower spine. Pray for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Continue to pray that insurance will cover the treatments recommended. Kathy asked last night that we pray that there would be clear direction from God.
Continue to pray for Mollie H. She has had several weeks of an oral chemo. Van F began an 8 week radiation therapy yesterday. Pray for strength and wisdom as he walks through this. We have learned that Carolyn O will have more surgery after the one that is scheduled for next Thursday. Pray for strength and courage for this struggle. Linda M came home on Monday. She is recovering from surgery. Continue to pray for the mom of our school seniors – Holly V. She is still sedated and not moving much. Her recovery is going to take months.
All of these health prayer requests are overwhelming. My heart hurts as I pray. “Oh, God, hear us!”
Next Lord’s Day – August 27th – is our annual church picnic. Watch for sign ups for games. The church will provide brats, water, lemonade, and table service. Bring a dish or two for the potluck. Bring lawn chairs. We will pray and begin serving at 12:30 p.m.
