Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 140:12-13 I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the poor. 13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; The upright shall dwell in Your presence. The first 11 verses of Psalm 140 are a plea to God for deliverance from the wicked, the violent, and the slanderers. Like in so many other psalms, David resolves his concerns at the end by expressing his trust in God. Many may be against us, but we rest in God.
Linda M is in the hospital. I plan to go by and see her today. Continue to pray for strength for Carolyn O and healing from surgery for Bill S and Anita G. Also continue to pray for God’s healing of Kathy R and Mollie H.
The Brakers and Leeds are going to Neenah tonight to attend a seminar provided by Awana on “Trauma-Informed Children’s Ministry.”
Much changes again in our ministry in the next couple of weeks. Trinity Baptist School resumes classes in just 11 days. Awana begins 4 weeks from last evening. Sunday School will promote about half of our young people to new classes 3 weeks from this coming Sunday. Please pray for these ministries. Pray that many will receive Jesus as Savior while they are young. Pray that God might use us to disciple many young people to a Biblical world view and Christlike maturity. Pray too for our 5 seniors from last year as they begin new adventures this fall.
Our long-time missionary to Bolivia, Carolyn P, will be bring us a report on her ministry this Sunday, August 13, during the Sunday School hour. Come for a blessing.
I am going to be in Mark 10 on Sunday morning. The topic is Marriage. On Sunday evening, Pastor Charlie will again be preaching from the psalms.
Senior Lunch at Rolling Meadows is this coming Tuesday, August 15th, at 12:00 p.m. If you are over 50 and able to come, join us for the fellowship and learning.
May you be strong in your faith. May you rest in all that God is.
