Our current walk through the book of Romans ends this coming Lord’s Day. I hope you have learned and benefited from our time in this book this year. I know I have. We will look at Paul’s last words in the second half of Romans 16 during the morning service. Our adult Bible studies are beginning the book of Ephesians during the Sunday School hour. Jeremy Shaeffer is our preacher this Sunday evening. We will also have Lord’s Table during the evening service.
We are planning on attending snow camp at Northland Camp and Conference Center again this year. I hope that many of our youth will take advantage of this opportunity to put themselves under the teaching of the Word of God.
This past Lord’s Day, Darryl Mayes continued his Sunday School hour series by showing us different uses of the English word “rock” in the Bible. I think I remember him saying there are 39 different biblical language words that can be translated rock or stone.

In his most recent blog Dr. Kevin Bauder has discussed a current conflict that has risen in the ranks of the Southern Baptist Convention and compared it to the history of fundamentalism concerning the same issues.
This coming Sunday Pastor is going to be speaking 3 times! That’s likely a troubling thing to some. During the Sunday School hour I am going to talk about Baptist polity – especially as it has historically been practiced.
