Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: Those who gathered last night to hear Paul Tripp talk about parenting were richly blessed. If you catch this right away this morning, it is not too late to join those listening at the school. The simulcast will air from 9a to noon.
Tomorrow is Lord’s Table. Take some time to prepare your heart and thoughts for the Lord’s Day.
Let me encourage you to consider Sunday School. I believe I received my most complete understanding of the Bible’s story line and theology from attending Sunday School. I thank God for Wes Halstead and many others – most of whose names I have forgotten. If you are not in the habit of being with us at 8:45a, start a new tradition tomorrow! Especially if you have children!
In the evening we are going to have Sing N S’mores in the back yard of the parsonage. Bring a lawn chair, perhaps your favorite marshmallow stick, and a heart to sing. I’ll have words projected so everyone can sing along to some old fashioned Baptist youth group tunes! The purpose of this evening is fellowship. Come and be the church for someone else.
Next Saturday we are encouraging the whole church to join together for a work day. We have 3 work sites: the Struska home in NFDL, our church, and our school. Sign up lists for some of the needs are in the back of the auditorium. All hand on deck!
I have not sent out as many prayer reminders concerning Kim and Sue because there is not much new news concerning their treatments. Do continue to pray for them: pray for pain relief, pray for wisdom concerning comfort and care, and pray that God might be glorified in their healing. Remember also Tony McCrary and Bev Baum.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
