Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Proverbs 30:4 “Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if you know?” We need to be continually reminded that regardless of what we know or have experienced or think we understand, God is infinitely beyond us. The complexity of our natural world ought to always intimidate us. Whenever we think we know “why” something is happening, we should join Job in putting our hand over our mouth. It is my job to worship God for all He is even though I cannot comprehend all He is!
Lin, Sarah, and I returned safely to Fond du Lac yesterday. We spent the evening and this morning catching up on all the little things that cannot be done without being home. And yes, as much as we already miss our family in MT, it is good to be home.
I spoke with Kathy R today on the phone. She had another CT scan and an MRI on Thursday in preparation for a consultation with a specialist from New York on Monday. She learned last evening that the nodule in her left lung seems to have doubled in size in just a few weeks. She is sad to think that she might have another lung surgery. Pray for wisdom for Kathy, her family, and the medical professionals as they work on her case. Pray for her healing either through finding and removing this cancer or God’s miraculous working. Kathy is trusting God and is confident that she is in her Savior’s loving care no matter what happens. Pray for strength as she continues to recover from her recent surgeries.
The Mayes have a new grandson! Caleb delivered Nicolaus Justinian at their home early Father’s Day morning. This home birth was not planned! Within a couple of days a complication with Nicolaus’ lungs was discovered. He was placed in an NICU. He is doing better and they plan to release him from the hospital on Monday. Darryl and Karrie are flying out to Washington on Monday. They had already planned to go and help Caleb and Laura move to Kansas by driving the truck. There is so much to pray for here! Pray for the health of Nicolaus and Laura. Pray for sanity and wisdom for all involved as there is much happening. Pray for health and safety for Darryl and Karrie as they fly and then drive the moving truck. (Remember, Darryl is not that many weeks from his shoulder replacement surgery.) Pray for Caleb and Laura as they settle in to a new home on the base prior to Caleb being deployed to Europe.
Tomorrow is a full day. Missionary Nate Troester with Master’s Craftsmen will be in SS at 8:45 a.m. I will be preaching from Daniel 11 at 10:00 a.m. We will enjoy at potluck church dinner at 11:30 a.m. Our Annual Congregational Meeting is at 1:00 p.m. You are welcome to pick up an annual report in the morning. Come and be the Church.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
