Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Have you ever thought you would never get where you are going? You are on one of those long drives and there comes a point when you just know you cannot stay in the car another minute, much less 3 more hours? Hear the desire of the psalmist: Psalm 130:5-6 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. 6 My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning— Yes, more than those who watch for the morning. Waiting is never a preferred activity. Notice that God’s Word is the hope of those who wait for the Lord. My grandson asks, “Are we almost there? How many more minutes? What if I counted to 100?” I told him he had to count to 10,800. It was beyond his desire to make the count. Are you waiting for circumstances to change? Are you waiting for someone to change? Where are you placing your hope while you wait?
The Leeds travelled well on Wednesday and Thursday. We spent yesterday recouping and spending time with family. Today, Hannah left with the boys for PA. Two weeks from now her mom will join her as they make the return trip from Scranton, PA to Great Falls, MT – 35 hours! We thank you who prayed.
Tomorrow begins God’s Great Zoo! – a 5 session Bible School for 3 year olds through those going into 8th grade this fall. The first lesson will be during Sunday School hour tomorrow morning and then at 6:30 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday this week. Invite a friend and come learn about God’s great creation.
Our annual Men’s Retreat camping extravaganza begins a week from Thursday. If you have an idea that you might attend, please sign up tomorrow so we can plan menu and food.
Tom Murray is getting married to Marie McMahon on Tuesday, July 21st at Riverside Camp. Pray for them as they become one that they will serve God better together than they would be able separately. Marie will be moving to Fond du Lac.
Pray for a couple of Pastors and wives in our state who are fighting COVID – Ron and Pat Tobin, Andy and Nancy Burhow. Dennis begins radiation treatments this week. Pray for his strength to renew and the kidney cancer to be defeated. Pray for the defeat of an infection in our friend Josh Collins. Pray for an upcoming heart procedure for Jean Winkler.
Pray for the ministry of the Word of God tomorrow. Pastor Charlie is our morning service preacher. Rather than our regular evening service tomorrow, we will have Bible school. There will be no separate study for adults.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
