Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 121:1-2 I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. This is one of my favorite pictures in Scripture. David looks to the hills. Storms come over those Judaean hills. Enemies or thieves might rush down from those hills. Lions or bears might use the advantage of height to pounce on his flock. The hills were the sources of trouble. So to Whom did David turn in His time of trouble? The Maker of heaven and earth! We have no less of an Advocate in our time of trouble
I learned this morning that I tested positive for COVID. I’ve assumed as much and have been behaving accordingly most of the week. It’s been a little hard to tell because my cough still tastes like chemo. Lin, Sarah, and I are going to stay away from people through Wednesday. They are already feeling better. I have shortness of breath that keeps me from doing much of anything.
Souped Up! was a good success. I believe there might be some chili and Brat N Kraut left to purchase tomorrow. Once again, thanks to all who stepped up to take my place and make this happen.
Pray for others who are hurting. Dave R is still gaining strength. Tony M is still in the hospital. This weekend he is on oxygen and in a drug-induced coma to help him rest and give his lungs a chance to heal. My cousin Paul is home and learning to manage his pain. Nestor tells e that Norma is home and learning to get around without a walker. Others in our ministry have tested positive and are dealing with COVID symptoms.
Sam K received good news about his health concern. He is praising God for His protection.
Our Zomi church friends have made me think to pray for the country of Myanmar. The military coup has already greatly limited human rights. There is great cause for Christians in country to fear.
I continue to praise God for His protection of our ministry. Because of COVID cases, Trinity Baptist School will not have classes Monday through Wednesday of the coming week, February 8-10th. Hopefully, everyone will be back and ready to go on Thursday the 11th!
Jeremy is our preacher tomorrow morning. I believe Tony has adult Sunday School. Charlie is the 6:30 p.m. preacher. I look forward to joining in on line!
Praise God and rest in Him. To God be the glory!
Embracing Truth, Pastor
