Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Proverbs 10:23 “To do evil is like sport to a fool, but a man of understanding has wisdom.” Here is a sign of whether or not you are a Christian. Do you relish doing evil? This proverb says fools think doing evil is a game. It is entertainment to them. If doing evil is your desire and your satisfaction, then you do not have a relationship with God.
We sent $650 to Baptist Mid-Missions this week for them to send on to relieve hurting Christians in an oppressed country. Our 2nd offering on Sunday collected $450 for this project. Thank you to many generous and loving people who were willing to help other believers on the other side of the world.
I believe 8 of our church ladies attended the WFBC Ladies’ Retreat this weekend. Lin sent me a quote this morning so I know at least one speaker was stimulating her heart and mind. 440 ladies from churches like our from around Wisconsin joined together to hear God’s Word preached during these last 30 hours.
Tomorrow morning we return to another amazing story in Daniel – the time when Nebuchadnezzar lost him mind for 7 years. Are you guilty of the same offenses that caused his correction from God? We have our normal adult Sunday School classes this week. Sunday evening is our 3rd quarter Congregational Meeting. We will hear from past meetings, receive financial reports, take up some membership issues, and be reminded of the committee meetings that will take place before our annual meeting on June 27th. Written reports are on the ministry opportunity tables in the back of the auditorium if you’d like to pick on up ahead of time in the morning.
Please pray that we submit to the leadership of Jesus and His Word as we function as a part of His body and bride on this earth. I’ll see you in church!
Embracing Truth, Pastor
