Prayer request from Lloyd and Athena Peace

We met with the surgeon today and Athena is scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy on Wednesday at 10am. The doctor said the surgery would last about 4 hours and is classed as major surgery. She will probably spend 2 days in the hospital (Ottumwa Regional). Two weeks after surgery, she will undergo a minor surgical procedure to have a port placed (what the chemo will be given through). We will see the oncologist about 3 weeks after the mastectomy to find out the specifics on the chemo he recommends for Athena and then get the chemo started.

We are thankful that God has allowed things to move along quickly. Thank you for your continued prayers for our family during this time.
