Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 6:8-10 “Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. 9 The Lord has heard my supplication; The Lord will receive my prayer. 10 Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.” Sometimes I feel like I am being hounded by those who are up to no good. My natural instinct is to put together an attack in my mind – vengeance! Praise God, more and more I turn to God. I complain to Him and let Him settle the matter in His time. The LORD hears.
Praise the Lord for another fun day at church. The Lord has seen fit to increase our numbers and to give us a sweet spirit. Our missionary enjoyed being with us. And there was plenty of food at church dinner!
Matt and Lilly M were married on Saturday. Pray for them as they begin this new life together.
Jean W is having an MRI today. Pray that the doctors will learn how to treat her pain. Mary F was back in church Sunday. Pray for Dave R as he recovers from his shoulder surgery.
As I wrote last week, Wayne Birschbach pass away last Wednesday. The visitation for him will be at our church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. If you are able to attend, I know you will be a blessing. Military honors will follow the service in our parking lot.
Awana and Bible study resume this Wednesday, November 30th, after our one week break.
Acts 29 – our young adult Bible study – will meet this Friday, December 2 at the Braker’s. This Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. is our monthly Men’s Prayer breakfast. We had 14 present last month. Join us! A sign up is on the MOT to help me plan food amounts. I’m thinking waffles.
All ladies and girls are invited to the Annual Ladies’ Christmas Party at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3rd at the parsonage. Secret Sister gifts will be exchanged, but all are welcome. Bring a brunch item to share. If you would like to join the Secret Sister prayer ministry, pick up a form on the MOT. Questions? See Carolyn O.
As we begin the busy-ness of December, don’t forget to keep your eyes on Jesus. Water-walking (making it through the winter months with a smile) is only possible for those whose faith faces the Savior.
