Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Proverbs 29: 25 “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.” When I am overly concerned about what people think, I either make wrong decisions or I am afraid to make a decision. Think of the three Hebrew men in Daniel 3. They did not give in to the king’s request for even a moment. Their trust and confidence was in the Lord. May my choices this day be built upon a foundation of trust in the Lord.
I rejoice in a good day yesterday at Trinity Baptist. Our attendance was good – especially when you consider that two families with 19 people were out of town. Pray for the Struskas and Shaeffers as they travel this week. Also pray for my sister Ruth B. She is flying in to O’Hare from Scotland on Thursday.
We praise the Lord with the Schuellers on the safe arrival of Felicity Hope at 4:58 a.m. Saturday, March 27th. She is 20″ and over 7 lbs and everyone seems to be doing well.
Linda M fell this past week and broke her nose and fractured her wrist. Pray for her comfort and healing. Also I learned yesterday that Patty F’s brother Dan recently had open heart surgery. Pray for his complete recovery. Dan G tells me that they have found something to help keep his lungs clear. Pray for those who are struggling from colds and post-covid issues – especially Dave R.
Awana and Bible study are on normal schedules this week. Easter Sunday we will have a Passion Service including Lord’s Table during the normal 8:45 a.m. Sunday School hour. There will be no children’s Sunday School classes during this service.
Pray for one another that we might stand for God as the three Hebrews did in Daniel 3. Pray for our church to be a reflection of Jesus as revealed to us in God’s Word. Pray for us to be wise in our choices.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
