Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, I wrote down 101 names that I remembered being at yesterday’s picnic. I share this to say that I believe our church is strong and deep. And I thought the response of families and our church to yesterday’s accident was spiritually mature. Although a certain numbness weighs upon many hearts today, we also share a confidence that God is good.
I received a text from Amy this morning updating the church on Lola. Lola’s wound was “cleaned vigorously” last night. This care and cleaning will continue in the days to come. Her wounds are serious and healing will take a while, but there are good signs. She was going in for a scan at 9:00 a.m. today. Pray for wisdom for the medical professionals. Pray for Lola’s body to heal. Pray for strength and grace for the Braker family. Pray for peace and healing for those involved in the accident – both children and adults.
While at yesterday’s picnic, I also received word that Bonnie Fiebig suffered a stroke yesterday morning and was taken to the hospital. I do not know more at this time. Pray for Bonnie and her family.
I’ve attached this week’s Here a Little on Religion and Government. This study will be the focus of our Men for Christ study tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m.
Wednesday is Awana Award’s Banquet. Dinner is on the parking lot at 5:30 p.m. The awards program will be inside at 6:30 p.m. Come rejoice over the work accomplished last year. Then next week – September 9th – we begin another year of Awana. Pray for our Awana Club. Pray that parents, clubbers, and leaders will be wise as we being during this uncertain times.
Our monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast is this Saturday at 8:00 a.m. The purpose of this meeting is fellowship and prayer. Come too for the breakfast bagels! If you are not signed up and you intend to come, please let me know.
