Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 138:7-8 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. 8 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” I like “Your right hand.” Right hands are for most people stronger and more skilled than left hands. (True lefties should read this “Your left hand.”) The application: God’s best is for us. In the next sentence we see David’s confidence that The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. The Lord is the great finisher of our lives. He completes us. Praise the Lord.
I was humbled by being able to worship in person with God’s people yesterday. The preaching morning and evening was good. I was moved by the singing of the hymns. God’s Word is blessed among us. Tomorrow, Lin and I return to Milwaukee for a post-op consultation with my surgeon. We will get our questions answered and learn what, if any, treatment he recommends going forward. I’m assuming years of surveillance. Rejoice with me for God is good.
Pray for Mollie Hill. She is at Agnesian with pneumonia and blood clots. She has been coughing since Covid over a year ago. Pray not only for her immediate healing but for a solution to this ongoing weakness.
Please vote tomorrow. This single Supreme Court election will determine much about the direction of Wisconsin for years to come. It will impact Christian Education, sanctity of life, religious and personal freedom, and determine whether the voters or the courts will rule our state in coming years. Encourage friends and family to make this a priority.
Awana Grand Prix is Wednesday evening, April 5th. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be available at 5:00 p.m. and weigh in for cars begins at 6:00 p.m. The show begins at 6:30 p.m. Come for supper, fellowship, devotions, and the noise! There will be no Wednesday Bible study at the parsonage this Wednesday.
Serve one another. In Sunday School, Pastor Shaeffer encouraged us to the priority of ministry and service in the church. Thank God for the scores of saints who purpose to serve Jesus and one another in this body of believers.
