Monday, April 20, 2020 Fear #34

Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: After the birth of John the Baptist, his father Zacharias offers a Holy Spirit directed prophecy concerning John’s future ministry. Part of that prophecy reads: Luke 1:71-75 “That we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us, 72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant, 73 The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: 74 To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, 75 in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.” God’s agenda in His covenant to His people is that we “might serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness.” God’s desires that you serve Him today without fear in spite of the “enemies.”

Another Monday under COVID19 restrictions. Another opportunity to tackle things in my life that often get pushed down the “things to do” list. Another week full of 24 hours days to serve God and others.

Jim Brown has asked us to pray for his friend Doug Murray who was in a car accident. I spoke with Ross yesterday afternoon. Carol’s doctor called Ross and said the Carol was improving. Please praise God with us and continue to pray for the Purcell’s health.

We have moved the date of our school auction – again. We will now hold it on Friday, May 29th. At this time we intend for it to be in the format we had used before: Silent Auction, Live Auction, and Concessions. However, if we perceive that the ever-changing COVID19 circumstances will not allow us to hold it in a “normal” fashion, we will move to an online platform and have the auction anyway that day. Stay tuned for a list of items and more details in days to come.

We have four weeks in this school year at Trinity Baptist School. Please pray for teachers, students, and families as we move through uncharted waters. Pray also for families as decisions are made for next year. We have a School Committee meeting this coming Saturday at 8:00 a.m.

I will attach this week’s “Here a Little.” I pray you are making a priority of worship in these strange times. God is still God. And you, owning the truth of who God is and the truth of who you are, need to worship Him!

Embracing Truth, Pastor
