Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,
Psalm 135:1-3 Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord; Praise Him, O you servants of the Lord! 2 You who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God, 3 Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.
Pray for Linda R today. She is having surgery to relieve the pain she has had in her leg. Pay for success and a quick recovery.
We burned the mortgage last night. Our church has had some kind of debt since it bought its first property almost 40 years ago. We’ve bought 5 different properties over the years. We currently own two. We paid $160,000 for our church building. We spent $130,000 on the parsonage and then $70,000 to remodel it. We’ve spent over $300,000 on improvements on our current properties in the past 20 years. Through it all, our mortgages have kept changing. Today we can say, we have no long term debt obligations. We are paying out no interest. What will change at our church? Not a lot. But it is a good testimony to the work and generosity of God’s people.
Senior Lunch and Bible study is tomorrow. We meet at Rolling Meadows at noon and order off the menu. Our fellowship with the Word of God will be sourced in 1 Thessalonians 4. Come join us for good conversation, prayer, and Bible study.
Trinity Baptist School will host Spring Showcase on Thursday evening, April 18th, at 6:30 p.m. This night will include music, cookies, and an opportunity to see the competition and art work of our students. This would be a good evening to invite prospective students to check out our school.
Pray for our church. We have had several visitors lately. We have lots of young people making critical life decisions. We are making plans for the 2024-2025 school year. Awana Clubs has just 2 normal nights and then Awards on May 1st. In all this activity, I believe the Word of God is being taught and Jesus is being glorified. Pray that this might continue and increase.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
