March 29, 2020 Fear#13
Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: Psalm 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” In this most familiar of psalms, David says he will fear nothing evil in the worst of time. His reason, the correcting and guiding presence of God. So when we are surrounded by adversaries we need to look for how God is using this to direct and mold us to be more like Jesus. Sanctification eliminates fear.
We had difficulties with our “distance worship” this morning. We are trying to improve and with our attempts are going to be set backs. This experience has confirmed to me the importance of using whatever tools we have to reach whoever God will allow us to reach. When this is over and we can again be the Congregation worshipping corporately, we will need to continue to work to allow those who cannot be with us to benefit.
I’m am attaching “Here a Little.” It’s a very easy devotional designed to help direct thinking towards the following Sunday and to keep our church family in touch by prayer throughout the week. I encourage you to print it out and use it this week.
I believe Wednesday’s 7:00 p.m. Bible study will be taught by Shad Horton with lessons on the Holy Spirit.
Pray for Ross and Carol. Ross is to have a procedure done tomorrow to remove fluid from his lungs. Pray for God’s strength to enable both Ross and Carol. Pray for those who are grieving. Pray for our country.
