Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, People don’t always behave as I think they should. In fact, some people almost never behave as I would. This is frustrating to me. And further, God often does not behave as I think He should. And you say, “Duh, you are not God.” I believe we all fall into the trap of thinking others are wrong or foolish because they don’t behave as we would.
Our current world circumstances have evidenced a multitude of different responses and behaviors. Many are saying, “You are not much Christian if you do not …” I remind us all that we are not the LORD of anyone. Not even ourselves. We would do well to heed the advice of Solomon: “Do not curse the king, even in your thought; do not curse the rich, even in your bedroom; for a bird of the air may carry your voice, and a bird in flight may tell the matter.” Ecclesiastes 10:20 So “Dan, trust God and mind your own business!”
Charlie and Brittany are moving to Fond du Lac today. We praise God for His leading in their lives. I know they are excited about the increased opportunities for serving the Lord this is going to bring to them.
On a personal note, Lin, Sarah, and I are heading to Montana to be with Zeke’s family for a couple of weeks. We will return in time for Bible School.
If you can help with Bible school, check out the sign up in the back of the church. God’s Zoo will begin during Sunday School on July 19th and continue in the evenings at 6:30 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday.
A sign up is in the back of the church for Men’s Retreat – July 30th-August 1st.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
