Joel Troester’s Dad
We do not grieve as those who have no hope… Life is a gift from God, the giver of all good things. There are times when we take this for granted. For 36 years my dad has lived without his legs due to a farming accident. In recent years he’s been on dialysis. Other conditions have necessitated further medication and treatment, and mini strokes have caused his mind to begin to deteriorate. He has chosen to stop the dialysis treatments, which will bring his life on earth to a close. I greatly rejoice that my dad is trusting completely in what Jesus did for him on the cross. He will soon wake up in Glory.
At this time I am preparing to travel to Iowa (via Ethiopia, Italy, Washington DC and Minneapolis), a 36 hour trip, to be with my family. I leave Mozambique at 2pm our time today (Wed) and arrive in Minneapolis on Thursday evening. Joanie will stay here in Mozambique and continue her ministries in my absence and others here are stepping in to fill in the gaps.
We’d appreciate your prayers at this time. May God be glorified in all!
Thank you for all you do for us!
Together in the harvest,
Joel and Joanie
