Dear Trinity Baptist Church – The Queen has died. By now you have heard of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. I am sad because I think she was a classy lady. But as I thought yesterday of the grief of many because of her death, I also thought “I am glad my King is still alive!” Jesus lives. He ever lives to make intercession for me. He lives to love and keep me. He lives and will one day return for me. My King lives.
We begin our fall semester of choir on Sunday. If you are interested in being a part of our choir this fall/winter, join us for practice on Sunday afternoon at 5:00 a.m. – before the evening service. Sunday morning I am in Revelation 17. In adult Sunday School, Darryl is in the part of Job where God talks. Our evening service preacher is Charlie from the book of James.
This Tuesday is Senior Lunch and Bible Study. We meet at Rolling Meadows at noon to order off the menu. Then we will continue our study in Colossians after lunch.
I see “Ladies night @ the Pier” on our church calendar for 7:00 p.m. this comingTuesday evening. Grab a lawn chair, some bug spray, and join the ladies of the church for a time of fellowship on Fishermen’s Pier at Lakeside Park at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13th.
Pray for one another. Love one another. Pray for the ministries of our missionaries in the coming weekend.
