Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: It really disturbed the disciples when Jesus spoke of the destruction of the temple. They asked Him what the signs would be when the end would come? In Luke 21:11 Jesus tells them of events leading to the end: “And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.” Pestilences – diseases and insect plagues – are going to multiply as we get closer to the end. COVID19 is one pestilence. Jesus said there are going to be multiple pestilences in the world in those days.
So, if we believe the Word of Jesus as given in the Mount Olivet prophecies, we ought to expect a growing number of COVID19 type troubles and a growing number of natural disasters. We should also expect fear and globalism to be the human responses to these things. I’ll say more about that in days to come.
Today, Christians need to remember that we are aliens in this current world. Our permanent citizenship is in the age Christ is yet bringing. If you’d like to read Christ’s Mount Olivet message it may be found in Mark 13, Luke 21:5-36, and Matthew 24 & 25.
