Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12 Sometimes I tell people that the hardest part of my job is being my boss. Many hours bring several options. What is the very best use of my time at this moment? The superscription of Psalm 90 says it was written by Moses. This leader/lawgiver/teacher/judge of millions of people for 40 years wrote his philosophy of time for us. Time is short and we must give an account to God for its use. “So teach us to number our days” is Moses’ way of saying we need to live everyday for God’s best use.
The Shaeffers arrived safely home through ice, snow, and terrible roads on Sunday night.
Jeremy reports that his Dad is stronger. Continue to pray for Mark Shaeffer’s healing and wisdom for future treatments.
On Monday and Tuesday the Shaeffers and Leeds joined Pastors and Wives from around the state for a refreshing two days of preaching and fellowship. A thank you to those who prayed for us. A special treat was provided by Bay City Baptist Church – a tour of Lambeau.
Sunday is church dinner day! Bring a dish to pass and join us for a pot luck lunch after the morning service. Paul and Lynnette Sharf are newly appointed missionaries with Friends of Israel. They will be sharing their burden during the Sunday School hour and also in the devotions after church dinner.
Do you remember going back home after you moved out? Was it awkward, confusing? Was there conflict? At 10a this Sunday morning we examine Jesus’ return to Nazareth. What lessons can we learn from His experience?
Oops, one more thing. Ladies interested in attending Ladies’ Retreat in April should bring their forms back to Beth Braker on Sunday!
