Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: I pray that you have had some extra time with family and friends and that it has been sweet. Many years ago I was introduced to the idea of “making memories.” I wish precious memories for those of you who love the Lord Jesus.
Please pray for Barb Oechsner’s family. Kathy, her sisters, and others of Barb’s family have been keeping watch by Barb’s bed for two weeks. For over a week, Barb has been on hospice at the Rabe home. Pray for all of Barb’s family that God would be gracious to them and strengthen them in these last hours of Barb’s life on this earth.
The Shaeffers have had a busy Christmas. They moved to a farm house on December 22nd. They have been working since to prepare their home for renters. They are traveling to Ohio to be with Jeremy’s Dad and family today. Jeremy’s dad grows weaker. Pray for safety and that the Shaeffer’s will have a sweet time with family.
Praise the Lord with me for an awesome Christmas Eve service. I believe the Lord’s Spirit was evidenced. More attended this event than any church service this year.
This weekend would normally be our church dinner day. Instead of church dinner immediately following morning church, we are going to have a 6:00 p.m potluck with table games to follow. Come for dinner and go or come and stay for a full evening of family fellowship. We will not have an activity at church on Monday, December 31st.
Awana and Bible study resume on January 2nd. (Lin and I are taking a couple of days off and will be absent that evening.)
This Sunday morning we are going to be in Matthew 2 and consider the worship of the Magi.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
