Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: The partying has begun at TBS! Only a few more hours and we are out of school for 16 consecutive days. As always, the joy of the students is only equaled by the joy of the staff!
Let me remind you of the worship and preaching opportunities this week. Trumpeter Don Shire will be ministering during our 10:00 a.m. worship service this Sunday. Don has been to our church about a half dozen times during the past 10 years. We will enjoy his music and be challenged by his missionary heart for the Lord.
Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. I am preaching from Isaiah 62. We will sing carols and have time for some Christmas testimonies. I know it makes for church two nights in a row, but these chapters in Isaiah are worth the time and effort.
Adult Sunday School has finished our current series. The next two weeks – December 23rd and 30th – during the Sunday School hour, 8:45 a.m., I am going to present what the Bible says about homosexuality. We going to review the primary passages on the 23rd and then answer some contemporary objections on the 30th. On January 6th, Laura Denk will be presenting her ministry at Seed of Hope in West Bend. Then on January 13th, we will begin two new series. Darryl Mayes will be teaching the book of Ecclesiastes and Van and I will be teaching the book of Deuteronomy – “Preparing to Claim the Inheritance.” I beg you to make this hour of edification a priority.
Monday the 24th we will have our traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. We have a full evening planned with lots of music. We will begin at 6:00 p.m.
May the Lord Jesus be centered in your heart and thinking this Christmas.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
