Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, How would you describe your faith? What is the opposite of faith? How would you respond if Jesus asked you, “How is it that you have no faith?” (Mark 4:40) We will be looking at what happened before Jesus asks His disciples this question this Lord’s Day morning.
Our current adult Sunday School classes are going to meet for one last time this Lord’s Day: Jeremiah and Ecclesiology. In our morning service, the Gideons are going to briefly tell of their ministry. (Lin and I are attending a banquet as guests of the Gideons tonight.) Sunday evening we have adult choir at 5:00 p.m. and also the Ministry Committee will meet at 5:00 p.m. This Sunday evening I am preaching from 2 Kings on the life of good King Josiah.
On Sunday, April 30th, our ministers in Sunday School and again during church dinner will be Terry and Denise Domstad. They were our missionaries 20 years ago! They want to return to Thailand. I’m excited to see and hear them.
We had a great time last evening at the Trinity Baptist School Showcase. Pastor Shaeffer picked up a third of the chairs in the auditorium to display STEM projects, art projects, and WACS academic competition items. We also heard 9 songs – many of which were entered in WACS competition. And the cookies were awesome!
Awana Awards banquet is May 3rd. We begin our summer schedule for Wednesday Bibles studies on may 10th.
Continue to pray for healing for Mollie Hill. She still struggles with breathing. Also pray for the father of my neighbor, George F. He had cancer surgery on Tuesday and is waiting for pathology results.
Pray for our country. The increase of violence is disturbing. The disregard of life and property reveals a lack of godliness to me. Pray for our country to repent – to turn to God. “O God, and may this begin with me.”
