A day at Maranatha Baptist Bible College

Jerome, Charlie, and I spent yesterday at Maranatha Baptist Bible College. The boys have both applied at MBBC and we were there to give them a first-hand taste of a normal school day. We arrived in time for chapel. Perhaps because of the new ministry major scholarship at MBBC, there seemed to be more guys than girls in chapel. Jerome and Charlie attended a Bible class, a math class, and one about Shakespeare. We were given 3 free meals in the cafeteria. They guys took a tour of the campus that included meeting the financial aid people. And we stayed to watch Maranatha lose to Marian University in a guys’ basketball game. During the day we were greeted by a lot of students and staff that we knew. I think both guys appreciated having their knowledge of the college broadened. And the food was good.

I sensed the continued good spirit on the campus. I had opportunity to speak for a while with both Dr. Oats and Dr. Marriott during the course of the day.
