Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 43:1 “Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!’ Do you often feel like everyone wants a piece of you? It is easy to think this way. If you want consolation, read the psalms. David often asks for God to defend him against those who are against him. It ids our role to let God fight our battles.

Our church and school staff spent Thursday and Friday at the Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools educator’s convention. The preaching and teaching was challenging. I found much to profit by. Pastor Shaeffer and I also were part of the WACS board meeting. This board meets twice a year and sets policies, budgets, and plans for the future of our association. At the board meeting, we voted to send $5,000 each to the AACS state associations in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida for hurricane relief for schools affected in those states.

Van tells me that David F surgery was postponed because the doctor was needed for an emergency surgery. Continue to pray for David as this surgery is rescheduled.

Sunday morning, October 13th, we have our two normal Sunday School classes: Attributes of God and New Members. During the morning service we will be in 1 Timothy 3:8-13 talking about Deacons. Bella is getting baptized in the morning service! Adult choir is singing the morning service.

At 5:30 p.m. tomorrow evening, we will have a Building and Grounds Committee meeting. We will have no choir practices tomorrow. At 6:30 p.m., October 13th, we have our quarterly Congregational Meeting. Come hear reports from our committees, learn of our church finances, and be a part of the business of Trinity Baptist.

The Children’s Choir will not sing tomorrow, but will hopefully sing on Sunday morning the 27th after our next practice in the afternoon of October 20th.

Everyone is invited to Grandparent’s Day. I bought a bunch of peppers at the farmer’s market this morning to make a roaster of cheesy pepper soup. Tell Beth or Pastor Shaeffer if you are coming. Lunch is at 11:45 a.m. All the students in our school will participate in our after lunch program.

I’ll see you in church!

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.

Pastor
